A proven programme — now in Poland
Moving from a career at sea to shore-based work does not have to be stressful. The Officer Training Centre in Gdynia is organising a special course for those considering a career as a Superintendent. The course equips seafarers — as well as people from outside the maritime industry — with the skills and knowledge needed to advance their careers as valued professionals working ashore.
There is a significant shortage of suitably qualified and experienced Ship Superintendents on the labour market. In response, we have developed an effective training programme, delivered for many years — and now we are running it in Poland, the country that supplies the largest number of European seafarers.
The training was initially intended for newly appointed inspectors, but over time it has grown into a solid foundation covering all aspects of ship operation. In recognition of its quality, the programme has been endorsed by IMarEST and the Nautical Institute. The instructors are practitioners, and the entire course is supervised by Capt. Kuba Szymański.
