Course description
Advanced Training for Liquefied Gas Tanker Cargo Operations is an advanced course for officers and ratings responsible for the direct handling of cargo on gas carriers. The training complies with the STCW Convention (Regulation V/1-2) and builds on the knowledge acquired in the basic course.
Course hours: lecture 36 h; exercises 6 h; simulator 18 h (62 h in total)
Certificate
Issued by the Maritime Office, valid for 5 years. Renewed at the Maritime Office.

Renewal of the certificate requires documenting 3 months of sea service on the given type of tanker within the last 5 years.*
*Where the required sea service is not available, the relevant training must be completed together with 3 months of sea service on the type of tanker appropriate to the certificate being renewed.
Training goal
Supervising and safely carrying out all cargo operations; knowledge of the physical and chemical properties of liquefied gases; developing and applying cargo operation plans, procedures and checklists; taking action to prevent hazards; professional application of safety measures and health-and-safety rules; carrying out fire-fighting operations; responding to emergencies; preventing environmental pollution from liquefied-gas spills; and carrying out supervision and control in accordance with applicable requirements.

- ważne świadectwo przeszkolenia w zakresie eksploatacji zbiornikowców do przewozu gazów skroplonych stopnia podstawowego,
- posiadanie co najmniej 3-miesięcznej praktyki pływania odbytej na zbiornikowcu do przewozu gazów skroplonych.
