Course description
Training in the operation of the inert gas system (IGS) on the LCHS (Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator) is a specialised IMO course that teaches the safe start-up, monitoring and shutdown of the system in various cargo scenarios. It includes practical exercises in tanker operations (oil tankers, chemical tankers, gas carriers) in accordance with STCW requirements.
